I love my dog Ace Naidu, and believe if you meet him, you too will instantly fall in love. đ¶ đ
I am like most dog owners – biased.
Even if you donât like dogs, they believe this will change as soon as you meet đđđđđ dog! Their dog is an exception.
With storytelling, you might worry, what if I am the exception and this doesnât work for me? What if Iâm sh%# at storytelling? What if I donât have any stories?
Storytelling is one field where doubt can be your friend. A fierce friend. Doubt about who are you to share your stories? That doubt will give your stories humility. That, rather than a swashbuckling arrogance that everyone is dying to hear your stories, is the best starting place for success.
Your humility places you in the best company.
đ” In the 16th century, Pope Julius II hired Michelangelo to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Michelangelo hated painting. He thought he had no gift for it. Yet the beauty and abundance of the Sistine Chapel, what Michelangelo produced, has never been surpassed. #HUMILITY đ”
To overcome your doubts, road test your stories with an expert or a trusted colleague and most of all let humility shape your story.
