I have never shared this before

What is this?

It is the one and only ‘Explosive Dip.’

I’m with Dr Seuss on this one, ‘I will eat it in the rain. And in the dark. And on a train. And in a car. And in a tree. It is so good, so good, you see!’

I’m not alone. Explosive Dip has a fierce cult following.

But you know why I love it so, so much?

Explosive Dip stands for something. It is ‘fully expressed’ as my drama teacher, Hima Devi, would tell us in grade 7.

I understand that making a bold choice and standing out in a sea of sameness is difficult. However, standing out attracts clients, boosts sales, and lifts revenue.

Like many business professionals, I have tried various popular techniques over the years in my quest to stand out.

I tried USP – Unique Selling Proposition. The problem is no one wants to be sold to.

Then, do you remember elevator pitches? Again, no one likes being pitched to – do you? Especially unsolicited and trapped in an elevator? Eeek.

Since the 2000s, being memorable has been all about personal brand. Personal brand is fantastic. However, one problem with personal brand is that the language professionals use has become ubiquitous. Suddenly, everybody is a purpose-driven, passionate people person.

Again, we are in a sea of sameness. To quote Super Mario, ‘Same is lame’. Same sets us up for a losing streak.

So, how can you go from vanilla to vivid, just like explosive dip?

Over the last four years, I have researched, tested, and developed a process that allows you to express yourself in a memorable, original, and unique way.

I help you craft what makes you memorable, original, and unique into a statement.

My statement is: ‘I am the world’s only economist turned Bollywood dancing business storyteller.’

This is my X Factor statement. While it looks easy and something you can do on the back of an envelope, my clients tell me it’s very hard, if not impossible, to come up with on your own without the right tools. It is like looking at an architect-designed house and then setting off to build your own home without expert knowledge, guidance, and skills.

Every X Factor statement is like a mini story, each element packs a treasure chest of life experiences. What makes X Factor hard to grasp is that it lives in multiplicity. It is never one thing, but a mix of many things.

An X Factor statement positions you as distinctive, individual, and original.

My X Factor statement has won me clients like Google, Adidas, and Tiffany & Co.

Everyone has X Factor potential; your greatest risk is not discovering what yours is. On the plus side, your X Factor statement can attract blue-chip clients, deliver massive impact, and create a lasting personal and professional legacy.
