I’m going to call it out. I can’t handle listening to another Steve Jobs or Richard Branson story. Sorry, not sorry. No offense to their brilliance, but let’s face it, those stories are on repeat mode and honestly, it’s 2024, people!
Our diverse, multi-generational audience craves fresher narratives.
One(but not the only) inclusive strategy to shake things up is to spotlight women’s stories and achievements.
I would look specifically for fresh, interesting stories and case studies using these resources:
- Start by tuning into the TechCrunch podcast featuring women leading the AI revolution
- Check out Jeremy Utley’s podcasts celebrating innovators, especially his focus on black creators and female founders in seasons 2 and 3
- Explore Penguin Random House’s collection highlighting women who changed the world
Where else can you find examples that resonate with your audience’s diverse perspectives?
And it’s time to thank and kiss our old, tired stories goodbye.
